We received a letter today from Didi Swartz, Director of Assessment about the ISAT and opt out. The letter and our response are below. Please share the truth on these points. If you are a parent, your principal and teachers are being told to not share information with you, but parents can always talk to parents.
CPS does not see parents as true partners. This is a democracy. These are the Chicago PUBLIC Schools. Parents have the right to direct their children’s education.
Opt out. Take back your school for learning, not testing.
