Testing-related bills currently under consideration by the IL General Assembly
- HB306: Opt out bill This bill passed the House in May 2015. It has a hearing in Senate Executive Committee May 4, 2016. Fact sheet here. Witness slip here. (Fill it out as a PROPONENT.) - HB5901: Testing transparency bill This bill would require districts (or schools if schools within a district differ wrt standardized tests administered) to disclose what testing is taking place when. It passed the House in April 2016.
- HB4380 is a bill to discontinue PARCC and replace it in high school with either SAT or ACT after the current four year contract for PARCC with Pearson expires. It is currently moving through the House.
