Join our petition drive at your school![Spring 2013]
This petition was written by parents and activists who are frustrated with the scale, expense and consequences of the testing regime in CPS. We do not feel as though CPS administration is currently addressing our concerns. We hope it’s a wake-up call to the Board of Education and the leadership of Chicago Public Schools that parents and students will not accept the status quo of high stakes standardized testing currently in use in Chicago.
The petition is intentionally written broadly to include the perspectives of as many parents, students and community members as possible. We hope that through our web materials and Parent FAQ leaflet that more questions can be generated and discussed among all stakeholders to this conversation. We hope this is the beginning of a larger, essential conversation about our schools.

We intend to present the completed petitions all together to the Board this spring. It is essential that all completed petitions are returned to More Than a Score. This can be done in person, by regular mail, email, or fax:
